Allergies are an extremely common medical condition which affects both children and adults. It is associated with an increased risk of developing recurrent ear problems, sinus infections, throat problems and voice disorders. Therefore, better control of allergies is an integral part of treating many of the diseases we see as ear, nose, and throat physicians. In order to best serve our patients we offer allergy testing in our office. Treatment of allergies includes allergy proofing your house to decrease exposure, medications, and immunotherapy. Immunotherapy is the only known way of completely ridding a patient of their allergies and getting them off of their allergy medications. We offer two kinds of immunotherapy: allergy shots and sublingual drops. To learn about these and determine whether you would be a appropriate candidate please contact your ENT physician.
